The Xiaomi Redmi 1S went on sale in
India today, and as expected, it sold out very soon after. Or in 4.2 seconds to
be exact.
Xiaomi is selling the Redmi 1S for an incredibly value-for-money price of Rs 5999, which is why it’s no surprice to see the phone sell out so quick, especially after seeing similar trends with their earlier handset, the Xiaomi Mi3. The company is selling their phones exclusively on Indian retailer Flipkart, and has struggled to keep up with the high demand. Today’s sale, at 2pm IST, saw 40,000 units of the Redmi 1S sell-out in 4.2 seconds.
