Tech Update

Microsoft Corporation and LinkedIn Corporation have announced that they have agreed to a definitive agreement under which Microsoft will acquire LinkedIn for $196 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $26.2 billion, inclusive of LinkedIn’s net cash.

Jeff Weiner will remain CEO of LinkedIn, reporting to Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft. As we all know, LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network and continues to engage members with its mobile app, so this move will create quite a buzz around the tech world. After acquiring Lynda.com, a leading online learning platform, LinkedIn's business was boosted further.
